This work was not performed as a BrandMe360 | BHIA contracted engagement. It represents six months of direct employment by Romie Martinez, Founder and Principal of BrandMe360 | BHIA, serving as Marketing Manager and acting as the company's marketing director in a marketing director role and function, reporting directly under the COO, from November 20, 2025 through May 30, 2026. The client company is intentionally anonymized out of professional discretion. It is included here as part of her professional portfolio and as a real-world demonstration of what BrandMe360 market intelligence delivers when applied at full scale across a multi-brand, multi-territory home improvement operation.

This is where I realized that many companies overlook the foundation when building, even in a fast-moving environment. The market intelligence, the persona cards built from that intelligence, is not easily accessible, especially at the state level. I had seen the evidence of what this intelligence produces: real, measurable results for a global rebrand, for government, and for nonprofit. This is also where I realized I was being selfish to keep this to myself. I made the decision to partner with Rick's BrandMe360, a traditional marketing agency, give him the extensive seven-layer database, train him on it, and share the Brand Health Command Center I built, in order to transform and revolutionize BrandMe360 | BHIA into what it is today -- The Only Brand Health and Local Market Intelligence Agency in the entire state of New Mexico. My experience, with this case study company, is what led me to architect this system, to take national data and make it truly state-level with the help of reputable and leading data companies and segmentation companies that have existed predating 2007, to bring this intelligence to the community I am from and to every fellow New Mexico business owner who deserves access to what I had been standing on for more than a decade. I remain committed to updating this data every year as new data becomes available, as I have done every year since 2016. Rick and I are passionate about being of service, and it is an honor to work with him on this going forward. We are honored to serve our community."

- Romie Martinez - FOUNDER AND PRINCIPLE, BRANDME360 | BHIA

THE COMPANY

A Multi-Brand Home Improvement Company, New Mexico - Albuquerque, New Mexico

A Multi-Brand Home Improvement Company, New Mexico is not a conventional startup story. The founder had spent more than 30 years building one of New Mexico's most recognized home improvement companies, a market leader whose name graced the UNM basketball arena for years. In late 2020, after the COVID pandemic, he sold the company to a private equity firm. What followed was a cautionary tale. The private equity firm retained the reputation and the namesake but drained what had been built over three decades. On October 30, 2025, the firm filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and closed its doors abruptly, leaving employees, vendors, and customers with no warning. The original founder did not wait. On November 2, 2025, he started over. Same product categories. Same framework. Same decades of industry knowledge, vendor relationships, and market presence that had made the original company a 30-year leader in New Mexico. But because the original company name and all its assets were tied up in the bankruptcy proceedings, he had to build under a new name. Romie Martinez joined as Marketing Manager on November 20, 2025, eighteen days after the company opened its doors. The portfolio spanned two operational divisions. Home improvement canvassing products: Stucco, Patio Covers, Pergolas, Bath Remodel, Turf, Carports, and Sunrooms. These were managed through two CRM systems, bathroom remodels through Builder's Prime, and all remaining products through Lead Perfection, and one shared call center. The Marketing Manager role began on day one, with an immediate and expanding scope of responsibility that grew to include:

  • Overseeing call center operations from day one and hiring seven additional call center agents and managers to build out the team

  • Taking on daily operational oversight of a five-person canvassing team within the first 30 days

  • Working directly with the company's advertising agency and overseeing all advertising functions including print, radio, and television

  • Managing both the external agency relationship and the internal team executing those campaigns

  • Vetting new lead generation companies for all product lines and territories, managing and tracking over 75 combined lead generation vendor KPIs, and monitoring each vendor's cost of marketing individually

  • Tracking KPIs across both CRM systems simultaneously

  • Monitoring showroom traffic, advertising performance, and promotional results across both showroom locations

All of this was executed as the sole full-time marketing professional on staff, supported by one part-time contracted graphic designer and an advertising agency handling the buying of TV, radio, and streaming spots. There was no marketing department. No assistant. No admin. Not a single SOP built for the Callcenter, Showroom, Marketing Department, or Canvassing department when. Romie quickly got to work building those SOP's. There was one person, a part-time contractor, and an outside agency. The scope described above was carried entirely by Romie in that structure for six months reporting directly to the owner and COO.

STARTING CONDITIONS

Eleven Employees. No Call Center. Two CRM Systems. Day One.

Critical distinction: The BrandMe360 market intelligence database was built entirely independently, after hours and on weekends only, over two full months. It was built for BrandMe360, not for A Multi-Brand Home Improvement Company. It is a proprietary BrandMe360 asset. The only connection between the two was the brain, skills, education, and 20-plus years of experience of the person who built it and who also held the Marketing Manager role. A Multi-Brand Home Improvement Company benefited from that intelligence because of who was in the room. Not because they commissioned it, owned it, or had any claim to it.

When Romie joined on November 20, 2025, the company had approximately 11 employees. Three call center representatives were hired at the same time, but call center operations did not launch until December 12, 2025. For the first three weeks, every lead was handled without a functioning call center. Two CRM systems were running simultaneously from the start: Lead Perfection for most product lines and Builder's Prime for bathroom remodels. The company was operating in the Albuquerque market with plans to expand statewide, into El Paso Texas, and into Las Vegas Nevada.

The marketing function was built and owned entirely in-house from day one across all seven brands and all three territories. Advertising agency relationships, call center build, lead vendor management, CRM operations, territory expansion, SOPs, market forecasts, tracking systems, and the full BrandMe360 intelligence deployment were all built and managed simultaneously.

"What we have accomplished here in six months took me three to four years when I built my previous company the first time."
- Founder, A Multi-Brand Home Improvement Company - Company-Wide Town Hall, March 2026, addressed to a team of 85 employees at that time

THE BRANDME360 | BHIA INTELLIGENCE DEPLOYMENT

Built After Hours. Deployed With Precision. The Results Came Before the CRM Was Even Cross-Referenced.

The BrandMe360 | BHIA market intelligence database was built over two full months of after-hours and weekend work, covering all residential ZIP codes across New Mexico and El Paso Texas. It was built as a BrandMe360 | BHIA proprietary asset. It covered home values, demographics, lifestage groups, financial behavior profiles, digital channel data, and buyer personas for every A Multi-Brand Home Improvement Company product.

On March 23, 2026, before the database was ever cross-referenced against the CRM, the previous canvassing manager's ZIP code assignments were set aside. Canvassers were redirected exclusively to the ZIP codes and neighborhoods BrandMe360's intelligence identified as the highest-opportunity segments. The results were immediate and significant. The intelligence outperformed the previous targeting before a single CRM data point had been consulted.

On April 15, 2026, the BrandMe360 | BHIA database was cross-referenced against the company's historical CRM performance data. The top 10 highest-revenue ZIP codes were isolated from the CRM. The BrandMe360 | BHIA intelligence independently confirmed 9 of those 10 exactly. It also identified a neighboring Texas county as a high-opportunity expansion market that the CRM data alone could never have surfaced. The owner's reaction was telling. The COO was skeptical and had to confirm the data through the CRM. When the top 10 ZIP codes were presented from the CRM, he was surprised by what the data actually showed. Some of the ZIP codes matched his assumptions. But the top three were not what he had expected at all. The intelligence did not just validate what he thought he knew. It showed him what his own CRM had been telling him that he had never had the visibility to see. The 90 percent confirmation rate between the BrandMe360 | BHIA intelligence, built independently after hours with no access to the CRM, and the company's own historical revenue data, was not a coincidence. It was not proof that the business had changed. It was not proof that the client had changed. It was evidence that the market had changed. And the intelligence caught it before the CRM did. Romie wasn't surprised, as this happens all the time and why she uses marketing intelligence to reach the intended audience.

CRM VALIDATION - APRIL 15, 2026

9 of 10 top CRM ZIP codes confirmed exactly by BrandMe360 | BHIA intelligence database, built independently and cross-referenced after the intelligence had already been deployed and producing results.

CANVASSING PRECISION - MARCH 23, 2026

Previous canvassing ZIP assignments set aside. Canvassers redirected exclusively to BrandMe360's highest-opportunity segments. Results were immediate before the CRM cross-reference even happened.

TERRITORY DISCOVERY

Intelligence identified a neighboring Texas county as a high-opportunity expansion market that no amount of historical CRM data could have surfaced because the new company had never operated there.

CALL CENTER BUILT FROM ZERO LEADS

Call center grew from 2 agents to a full operation. One call center manager and 6 additional agents hired and onboarded during the engagement.

MARKET EXPANSION INTELLIGENCE - EL PASO AND LAS VEGAS

Before either expansion market opened, every residential ZIP code in El Paso, Texas and Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada was individually evaluated using BrandMe360 | BHIA intelligence. Each ZIP was scored for potential market value by product category. More importantly, the intelligence built a complete portrait of the target audience in each market before a single advertising dollar entered it. The company did not guess its way into two new states. It entered each market already knowing who lived there, what they could afford, how they consumed media, and which product lines had the strongest opportunity in which neighborhoods.

$75,000 Per Month to $4,000,000 Per Month. In Six Months. What Took the Founder Three to Four Years the First Time.

Eleven employees to 130-plus. Three territories. Multiple national brands and product lines across two divisions, two showrooms, two CRM systems, and one call center. 30-plus lead vendors managed simultaneously. A BrandMe360 intelligence database built independently after hours that found the territory nobody was looking at, validated 90 percent of the top CRM ZIP codes, and redirected canvassing to the right neighborhoods before a single CRM report had been consulted. This is what intelligence-driven marketing operations looks like in practice.
