Wearables & Apparel Design – New Mexico Army National Guard

This collection of wearable designs demonstrates my ability to combine cultural relevance, functional branding, and bold visual storytelling through apparel. Each garment was created to foster connection, instill pride, and expand the reach of the New Mexico Army National Guard across diverse audiences—from community engagement events to fitness challenges and formal ceremonies.

Graphic T-Shirts: Designs such as the Día de los Muertos-inspired sugar skull shirt and the Spartans Recruiting tee merge heritage with strength. These pieces pay homage to local culture while emphasizing the warrior ethos of service and identity.

Graduation Stoles: These custom stoles—worn by graduates affiliated with the National Guard—symbolize service, achievement, and home-state pride. Designs include the Zia symbol, dual flag motifs (U.S. and NM), and saluting silhouettes to honor both military commitment and educational milestones.

TAG Leadership Shirt: The "ZIA Pride" concept integrates leadership values, team function, and holistic principles within a circular layout inspired by the Zia sun symbol—positioned to represent unity and strength in diversity.

Performance Apparel: The “Run New Mexico” singlet series was designed for fitness and endurance events. The designs incorporate bold kinetic patterns, vibrant state colors, and Guard insignia to enhance visibility and inspire competitive spirit.

Event Polos: Custom Hawaiian-style polos celebrate New Mexico landscapes and Guard affiliation with unique iconography like yucca flowers, chili peppers, and hot air balloons—combining casual wear with brand consistency for outreach events.

Each wearable design is intentional, functional, and locally grounded—serving not only as apparel but as an extension of the National Guard's message, mission, and presence in New Mexico.
