CASE STUDY   ·   INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN & PURPOSE-DRIVEN BRAND ACTIVATION

Over 3,000-Plus Submissions. 41 Countries. One Peace Sign on a Strip of Tape. Intelligence-Driven Creative That Cut Through the Internet Noise.

A four-phase global campaign for Kinesio Holding Corporation built on national market intelligence that told us exactly who to speak to and how. Web banner ads built to speak directly to Kinesio's best consumer segments cut through the internet and social media chatter before a single tape strip was mailed. The result was a global movement that no traditional advertising campaign could have manufactured.

Note on this case study:

This work was not performed as a BrandMe360 | BHIA contracted engagement. It represents direct employment experience by Romie Martinez, Founder and Principal of BrandMe360 | BHIA, during her five years as the sole marketing professional at Kinesio Holding Corporation. BrandMe360 | BHIA had not yet been conceived at the time this campaign was executed. It is included here as evidence that the proprietary market intelligence Romie built and applied throughout her career produces real, measurable results at a global scale. This campaign is proof that the intelligence works. The growth was real. The reach was real. 3,000-plus submissions from 41 countries does not happen by accident. It happens when you know exactly who you are talking to before the first creative asset is built.

WHY THIS CASE MATTERS

This Is the Proof That Social Media Engagement Is an Intelligence Problem. Not a Creative Problem.

Most social media campaigns fail not because the creative was bad but because the intelligence was missing. When you do not know who you are talking to, even brilliant creative disappears into the noise. When you do know, a strip of tape becomes a global movement that reaches 41 countries and generates more than 3,000 organic submissions.

The Kinesio World Peace Project is the case study Romie Martinez points to when someone asks whether the intelligence framework she has used as the foundation of every marketing venture and campaign in her career actually produces results in social media. It does. This campaign is the evidence. The intelligence identified exactly who Kinesio's best consumer segments were, what they cared about, how they consumed content, and what message would reach them. The creative followed the intelligence. The results followed the creative. In that order. Every time.

THE INTELLIGENCE FOUNDATION

The Campaign Did Not Start With Creative. It Started With Intelligence. And That Is Why It Cut Through.

The Kinesio World Peace Project 2020 was not a traditional advertising campaign. It began with national market intelligence that identified exactly who Kinesio's best consumer segments were, what they cared about, how they consumed content, and what kind of message would reach them specifically. That intelligence drove every creative decision that followed.

The web banner ads built for Phase 1 were not generic awareness creative. They were built to speak directly to Kinesio's best segments using the behavioral, lifestyle, and channel data the market intelligence identified. The result was creative that cut through the internet and social media chatter and static that drowns most brand campaigns before they reach anyone. When you know exactly who you are talking to, your message lands differently. That is the BrandMe360 principle, and it was the foundation of this campaign long before BrandMe360 had a name.

"Purpose-driven brand activation, when executed with creative precision and strategic phasing, can transcend language, geography, and cultural barriers. The intelligence told us who to reach. The creative gave them a reason to participate. The phasing gave them a reason to stay."
- Romie Martinez - FOUNDER AND PRINCIPLE, BRANDME360 | BHIA - WHITE PAPER

THE FOUR PHASES

Awareness. Participation. Live Global Event. Community Gratitude. A Campaign Architecture Built to Build on Itself.

PHASE 1

Introduction and Awareness - Remnant Advertising and Intelligence-Driven Web Banners

The campaign launched with remnant advertising placements featuring a full suite of web banner ads. The banner creative featured everyday average consumers wearing the Kinesio Peace Tape, not athletes, not celebrities, not spokespersons. Real people. The creative was built using national market intelligence to speak directly to Kinesio's best consumer segments, cutting through the internet and social media static that most brand campaigns never escape.

Participants who saw the campaign were invited to request a free Kinesio Peace Tape strip. The tape request mechanic turned a digital awareness campaign into a physical brand experience delivered directly to participants at their door.

PHASE 2

Momentum and Community Building - Submissions, Practitioners, Patients, and Global Distributors

Once participants received their Peace Tape strips, they were invited to submit photos of themselves wearing the tape for a chance to win. The submission mechanic transformed passive campaign awareness into active global participation. Kinesio's network of practitioners submitted photos with their patients, extending the campaign from consumer participation into the professional clinical community that is the core of the Kinesio brand.

The global distributor network spanning 41 countries participated and amplified the campaign through their own professional and community channels. Thousands of promotional Peace Tape strips were mailed domestically and internationally through Kinesio's county distributor network, turning the campaign from a digital activation into a tangible physical brand experience that reached participants in their clinics, their homes, and their communities across 41 countries. The social feed became a mosaic of faces, stories, and healing moments from every corner of the world, organically amplifying Kinesio's message of connection and wellness without additional advertising spend.

PHASE 3

Live Global Event - Facebook Live Drawing Promoted via Social Media and Remnant Ads

The live drawing event was promoted through social media and a second wave of remnant advertising to build anticipation across the global participant community. The event was held via Facebook Live with five drawing sessions timed strategically to accommodate domestic and international time zones, conducted throughout a single day to ensure real-time participation from Kinesio's global partner and distributor network. Each session included product education, participant recognition, and an interactive Q&A with enthusiastic engagement from Kinesio partners and distributors participating in the livestream worldwide.

PHASE 4

Community Gratitude - Email Campaign Thanking Every Participant

The campaign closed with a dedicated email campaign sent to every participant, thanking them personally for being part of the Kinesio World Peace Project. The gratitude campaign reinforced the community identity the campaign had built, acknowledged the global participation that made the project meaningful, and deepened the brand loyalty that purpose-driven activation creates when it is executed with genuine respect for the people who showed up.

THE RESULTS

What Happens When Intelligence Meets Purpose at a Global Scale.

When you know exactly who you are talking to, your message lands differently. That is the BrandMe360 principle, and it was the foundation of this campaign long before BrandMe360 had a name.

3,000 - PLUS SUBMISSIONS

Photo submissions received from participants across 41 countries, driven by intelligence-built creative that spoke to the right people before the first tape strip was mailed.

GLOBAL DISTRIBUTOR & INSTRUCTOR NETWORK

Kinesio's distributor network across 41 countries participated and amplified the campaign through their own professional channels, delivering organic international reach that no paid media budget could replicate.

PRACTITIONERS AND PARTNERS

Kinesio practitioners submitted alongside their patients, extending the campaign from consumer participation into the professional clinical community that is the core of the Kinesio brand.

CUT THROUGH THE NOISE

Intelligence-driven web banner creative built to speak directly to Kinesio's best consumer segments cut through internet and social media chatter and static in a way that generic awareness creative never does.

3,000-Plus Submissions. 41 Countries. Organic Global Reach That No Advertising Budget Could Manufacture.

The campaign demonstrated that purpose-driven brand activation, when built on intelligence and executed with strategic phasing, can transcend language, geography, and cultural barriers. By connecting a physical product to a universal human value and delivering that connection through four carefully sequenced phases of awareness, participation, live event, and community gratitude, the campaign drove measurable global brand awareness while embodying Kinesio's core mission in a way no traditional campaign could replicate.
